Season undereway

12 games into the 2009 season, the Chicago Cubs have gotten off to a solid start.  They Are 8-4 and lead the National League Central Division.  The Cubs have taken 7 of their last 10 games.  Solid Pitching has been key with healthy starts from Carlos Zambrano, Rich Harden, and Ted Lilly.  Even though the ivy has yet to bloom, the Cubs' bats have been scoring a collective 66 runs so far with 16 of them coming as home runs.  This has them tied for third in in the National League with long balls.

2009 Season About to be Underway

"Wait 'till next year."  Cubs fans have said this around 101 times by now, since the team last took home a World Series title.  Well "next year" is here and Cubs Fans think this will be "the year".  After being upset in the first round of the 2008 playoffs in the first three games, the the best regular season team in the National League has most of the same names and a few acquisitions.   With opening day Sunday baseball will kick off what hopes to be a historical season for the North side of Chicago.
